SAGE II - running with Java plug-in
A plug-in is freely available from Sun Microsystems runs a Java Runtime Engine (JRE) independent of the browser's native JRE.

Using this plug-in is currently the only way SAGE II will run in older browsers. This plug-in will also work with recently released browsers. See "System Requirements" on the SAGE II help page for version-specific information.

If your browser doesn't have this plug-in already, SAGE II will automatically retreive it for free from the Sun Microsystems website. The one-time installation process consists of two steps:

Download the ~5 megabyte self-installing plug-in file from Sun Microsystems
Run the downloaded, self-installing file

These steps will install the JRE plug-in on your computer.

To run the SAGE II program after installing the plug-in, return to the main page, select the "Plug-in" access option, then click the [Enter] button.
