SageCalc is a free calculator that provides estimates for
body surface areas in cm^2 and fluid resuscitation volumes, as well as quick access to
lbs<->kilos & inches<->cm conversions.
System Requirements:
SageCalc is designed for devices running Palm OS 3.5 or higher. It has
been tested on Palm, Handspring, and Sony Clie devices, but it has not been
exhaustively tested on all models.
SageCalc Buttons:
[Lb] & [Kg] - Toggle between displaying and entering patient's
weight as "Pounds" or "Kilos".
[In] & [Cm] - Toggle between displaying and entering patient's
height as "Inches" or "Centimeters".
[?] - Display a help screen with brief descriptions of the buttons
[Adult] - Sets the Parkland fluid resuscitation formula to the default for adult patients
[Child] - Modifies the Parkland fluid resuscitation formula to the default for pediatric patients
[Calc] - Recalculates all formulas and displays results
[Clear] - Clears all entry fields
[Close] - Closes the SageCalc program and returns to the Palm OS application picker
